This year at Chadsmead Primary Academy, we have created a sports council. All children from Year 5 and 6 were invited to apply for a role within the sports council, giving a reason why they would be a good addition.
The role of a sports councillor is to:
- Be an active sports leader at lunchtimes by setting up and putting away equipment as well as making sure lunchtimes are fun, enjoyable and safe for all pupils.
- Assist Miss Hathaway in making decisions on how PE can improve within the school such as enrichment days, in-house tournaments, after school clubs and new races for sports day.
Meet our Sports Council
Rhys – I am enthusiastic and energetic. I am dedicated to sport and have good sport knowledge. I would like to encourage other people to do more sports.
Sean – I am a good listener and would represent the ideas of all the children because it is not about winning, it is about having fun, exercise and working as a group.
Elle – I take part in a number of sports. I will encourage people to join sports clubs.
Evan – I am very good at listening to other people’s ideas and I’m dedicated to sport.
Benjamin – Being active and participating in different sports is very important to me. I can hopefully enhance sports for school by sharing rugby values.
